On the last day of the hop, we are all sharing our Christmas tree decorations. This year I used the classic colors red and gold. These colors are my favorite because it reminds me of Christmas.

Every year I think about buying an artificial tree and I can't do it. I love the look and feel of having a real tree. The fragrance of the pine permeates throughout my house and it brings me back to my childhood. I am limited to the type of ornaments or other decorations I can add, but we love how our tree looks.  Here are a few of my favorite ornaments.
  I love my snowman.

These signs ornaments are lovely.

Thank you for stopping. I am wishing you and your family a Merry Christmas and a blessed New Years.

1 - Christmas Scavenger Hunt Game

You can create a list of items in your house or in your neighborhood ( You can stay on your street). For example, I have 30 houses on my street, I would create a few random list items from my neighbor's yard or in or outside my home.  As my family arrives, I would break them up in three teams making sure the children are with adults at all times. Everyone has 40 minutes to find as many items on their list and they have to take a photo with their cell to verify they found the items. Get creative with your list and change up the rules to fit your party. Have Fun!

2 - Name that Christmas Tune
Anyone can sing a song but it's harder when you have to hum the song. This one is sure to crack everyone up. You have to give in a try with your family and friends.

3 - Candy Cane Barrel

Do you remember the game Monkey in the Barrel? Well instead you use Candy Canes. Set the timer and see how many candy canes everyone picks up. The one with the most wins!

4 - Unwrap the gift game

I found this game on youtube and it's hilarious. This is one your family and friends won't be able to stop laughing. You can find the video here

5 - The Saran Wrap Christmas Party Game

Another great game for any party. It's so much fun. You can find the video here.

6 - The Reindeer Antler Game

This is another hilarious game to play with the whole family. You can find the how to over at Intelligent Domestications

7 - Christmas Movie Charades

You can create your own acting out cards or you can print these off. What a great and fun game and I love to see my family trying to act out a character

8 - Dominos
This is one game my aunts and uncles love to play and they love to teach the younger kids. You can find some dominos here and the rules are simple. Great family times.

9 - Christmas Movie Trivia

This is another fun game and it's more fun to play in teams. You can find some trivia printable here

10 - Candy Cane

This game is so much fun and the one with the best times wins. You can find the video here.

Christmas is 19 days away and I can't wait to to play these games with my family. I will be posting an update of our crazy and fun adventures. Thank you for stopping by.

Easy Christmas Wreath - Dollar Store

Welcome to Day 5 of 12 Days of Christmas. If you have missed any of the days click here, here, here, and here

Who doesn't love a inexpensive wreath? I do and I am sure you do too. The truth is wreaths are very pricey and if you replace them often, or would like one to go over you vinette, it's best to make one yourself. Most of the items you will be able to find at the dollar store or dollar section at Target. I have an easy Christmas wreath to share with you.

In the lasted few years I have changed color schemes and I had to change out my wreaths. So this year I went to the Dollar Tree and found a roll of red and gold deco mesh and a roll of ribbon. I had picked up a wreath from Walmart for a few dollars.

Supplies need:
Any color Deco Mesh
Wreath
Ribbon
Embellishment

I gathered the deco mesh and bend over so you couldn't see the rough edges then using the wreath branches to tie in place. (Picture on the left.)  I continued to gather the deco mesh, making sure I made different size loops.

The top two pictures show how I continued to make different size loops and tying off with the branches from the wreath. I then went around a second time but I added my ribbon (see two pictures on the bottom). Since the roll of deco mesh was large enough, I was able to go around the wreath a third time. I only used the Noel ribbon one time around, since I wanted it to stand out. Also, by adding the mesh a third time around, it gave the wreath a fuller look.

Party Holiday Food - Appetizers

Welcome to Day 4 of the 12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop! If you have missed day 3 click here to see all the goodies.

Christmas is a great time of year to gather with family and friends. Growing up, I remember gathering at my aunt's or my uncle's home and there would be lots of food. There would always be different types of appetizers, which were my favorite. By the time the main course was ready to eat, I would be so stuffed from eating so many appetizers. Today, I am sharing one of my easy go to appetizers.

It's officially Christmas and I am already thinking about what I am going to make for the main course, dessert and appetizers. I like to keep it simple and trouble-free. It's important my guest enjoy every course I lay out before them. For me, appetizers is all about cheese, nuts, fruits and crisp crackers. This appetizer is so simple, you won't even break a sweat. I enjoy the mild flavor of Brie cheese and pair it with fruits, nuts and a crisp cracker. Brie cheese also pairs well with wine.

Here is all  you need -
Soft Brie cheese
Crisp crackers (or one you love)
Red grapes, Red pears
Cranberries
Any nuts
Serving platters

Here is a tidbit for you, use red platters or plates to serve any food because it's promotes eating and it's a beautiful color as well. Wink!

Simple and trouble-free is what makes this appetizer. Enjoy!
